The rest of these pics are of the mugs that will eventually be part of a complete dish set. These are the two that I threw last week: As you can see, they are different sizes, but they are pretty much the same shape (more or less...). They haven't been trimmed yet. This one has though:And obviously I've attached a handle. I've got to find a new method for handle making. Currently I pull them by hand. There is an extruder in the studio, and I could give that a shot...
I did throw the other mug (which turned out a lot like the one on the left in the picture above), and started in on the bowls for the set. The first bowl I threw did not turn out well, and I ended up scrapping it. The second one worked out better, which I was happy about. I'm out of new David's Porcelain, though I have been recycling the scraps. Cynthia promised there would be DP by next week, so I'll be able to continue on with the set. The recycled stuff (which has some Death Valley mixed in) will be used for something else.

Hi there, cool blog. Been trying to find you a decent clip on handle making with no luck yet. Pots look good. I think you should carry on pulling handles, its more human than using extruders I feel. If I can't find a clip over the next few days I'll shoot some pics for you, it wasn't long ago that I was pulling my hair out with frustration over not getting handles how I wanted them to look. Doug Fitch showed me and I understood on the spot. Try them on an already finished pot, it helps alot and you don't get bothered over not getting them how you want them and ruining a good pot. Hope this helps, will check in with you soon. :)
