This is the first plate. Death Valley, about 6 inches in diameter. The wood rib (3 inches) next to it for size comparison.
As you can see, it's a bit lopside. I've been contemplating this frustrating tendency that I have to make stuff lopsided. I have a sneaking suspicion that the issue is mainly due to my complete lack of patience. It's important when throwing anything that you slow the wheel down enough. I'm going to keep this in mind for next week...Side view:
